Genting's fourth casino in the UK announces closure
Although the new crown vaccine has been successfully developed, the new crown epidemic has not yet been controlled. Genting Malaysia's wholly-owned subsidiary, Genting UK, announced the permanent closure of the Genting Casino Southport in northwest England, and 38 employees will be laid off.
Genting Malaysia said that due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, the casino business was greatly affected, and the business was very bleak. In order to avoid greater losses, it decided to close the Southport Casino.
It is reported that Genting's UK distribution has closed its casinos in Margate, Torquay and Bristol before this, and has also carried out large-scale layoffs on casinos in other regions.
